For all of 2017 my blog posts have been largely dedicated to weddings, but starting in 2018 that is going to change! I photograph a lot of families and children as well and this year you’ll be seeing a lot more of that on the AMP blog! I love capturing your little ones exactly as they are right now. From swinging on swing sets to running around playing make believe - I love every second of it and happily run around with them. There’s nothing quite like a genuine giggle or a curious glance captured on camera. Here are some of my favorites.
1.) Classic Beauty
Why I love it: The W Family had just moved to Indiana when they reached out to me to take some family photos for them. They drove from a couple of towns away to meet me for their session and I promptly fell in love with all seven of them! Yes, I’m counting the adorable family dog, Percy. But this photo of the second youngest little lady in the family just makes my heart sing!
2.) Twin Boys Lifestyle Session
Why I love it: The G Family had a big year last year filled with both challenges and celebrations. I was so fortunate to be welcomed into their home to celebrate their new lives as a family of FOUR and I loved every second of it. My favorite thing about this photo is Bridgette lovingly looking at Eugene snuggle one of the twins. So sweet!
3.) The Happiest Flower Girl Ever
Why I love it: This little one was a fireball! She was having a blast all through out Angie and Zach’s wedding and kept everyone laughing. It was so chilly during bridesmaid portraits and she was a total trooper - look at that grin!
4.) An Adventurous Big Brother
Why I love it: Conner is so much fun! We had a blast running around the park and chatting about his favorite toy he had with him. He absolutely lit up when I asked him questions and I loved seeing the excitement on his face when he told me stories about his favorite things - especially about being a big brother soon!
5.) Piper in Pink
Why I love it: Little Piper is a doll! She is the light of her mom and dad’s lives and I can see why! She is a very relaxed baby and happily goes with the flow. I love her beautiful eyes in this photo!
6.) Stopping to Smell the Flowers
Why I love it: During Amelia’s session we had tons of fun with balloons and bubbles, but this image is the one that sticks out the most to me from that day. She stopped all on her own to smell the flowers. How sweet is that?
7.) Party of Three
Why I love it: The B family is extra special to me because I had the honor of doing their maternity photos also! So when little Easton arrived I was overjoyed! In fact, this was one of his first trips out of the house. So special!
8.) Breana and Blake’s Curious Ring Bearer
Why I love it: Blake and Breana had made it a special point to pick out these awesome matching socks for all of their groomsmen (Spiderman socks for the little guy), and I wanted to get a shot of that. As I was preparing to take the photo, their little ring bearer leaned out to check out what I was doing and I caught this photo of him. What a cutie!
9.) An Indianapolis Lifestyle Session
Why I love it: The G family had hoped for some photos on the Butler University Campus, but the autumn weather just didn’t play nice in 2017. Rain forced us to continually reschedule. We finally decided to go a different route and I got to spend some time with them in their home while the rain fell outside. Lifestyle sessions offer a totally different take on family photos and in a lot of ways, are more authentic to your family. I love that this image c captures everyone enjoying the afternoon together, even the family pup!
10.) Zayleigh Rose
Why I love it: Zayleigh is an incredible little spirit. I have watched her grow up over the years and each year she grows more confident and smart. This year was no exception. I love that this image captures Zayleigh how I always think of her: mid giggle and dancing around. Plus that sunlight on her pretty blonde hair. Love it!
