Fall Golf Club Wedding | Greenwood, Indiana | Angie + Zach
When Zach and I met Zach and Angie for the first time, we immediately clicked. Not only were they another A+Z duo, but we laughed until our cheeks hurt the entire time. We bonded over our shared love for our dogs and I knew right away that we’d be friends for life. As their wedding day unfolded I was so excited to share in their joy all day long!
Angie opted to get ready at a friends house around the corner from her venue, Valle Vista. While Angie's friend and bridesmaid Cortney finished Angie's makeup, I set to work photographing some of Angie’s beautiful bridal details. I could not get over her incredible Kate Spade glitter Keds! Seriously, could those shoes be more amazing?
Next the girls headed to Valle Vista to get ready. With a little help from her mom, soon to be mother in law, bridesmaids, grandmas and even her adorable niece and flower girl, Angie transformed into a beautiful bride. Her stunning headpiece and necklace were hand selected by her mom, Sherry, and they added the perfect touch of sparkle to complete her look! Her lace dress was stunning and her train went on for days! Fun fact: it was the first dress Angie tried on at Brides by Young. So cool! Zach also sent up a surprise for Angie to open, a matching necklace and earring set. Everyone gathered around to watch Angie open her present and everyone agreed that Zach did a great job picking it out!
But Angie had a trick up her sleeve as well! She surprised Zach with some awesome sunglasses that matched his suit perfectly! After Zach finished opening his gift, he and his guys headed outside for some groomsmen photos. All day long these guys kept Zach (and me!) cracking up! What a fun bunch and they looked so dapper in their suits!
After the boys were tucked away to await the ceremony, Angie and her ladies bravely headed out into the chilly fall air for some bride and bridesmaid photos. We even got a lift from the venue’s awesome shuttle service! The girls huddled in the bus for warmth in-between shots and were absolutely amazing about handling the cold for photos!
When it was Angie’s turn for her bridal portraits, she was an absolute pro. We laughed like crazy and we even got a few photos with the resident swans who will happily photobomb on command - a trick we learned from Darryl the shuttle driver, who also keeps his pockets lined with saltines for just such an occasion!
Finally it was time for the ceremony! As guests were finding their seats, Angie shared a first look with her dad before climbing into the stunning horse drawn carriage that would take her to her groom. (Shout out to Maximus the horse - he did a great job! Haha) After some sweet Gatsby styled golf carts dropped off the groom and his groomsmen to a soundtrack of “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top, guests stood as Angie, her father and Maximus rounded the corner. Zach’s first look at his bride was incredibly emotional and so very sweet. Tears welled up in his eyes as Angie walked towards him and there was not a dry eye in sight. Zach’s dad officiated the ceremony, which I thought was so special. Zach and Angie gave roses to all three of their mothers and had a sand ceremony. After an exchanging of vows and rings, they were pronounced husband and wife! Woohoo!
Following a champagne toast, Mr. and Mrs. Perdue hopped into the horse drawn carriage with their bridal party in tow in the Gatsby golf carts for a quick parade to celebrate their nuptials.
After some family portraits the bridal party headed to the gazebo for some fun bridal party photos (including a Ginyu Force pose) followed by photos of just Angie and Zach. We took advantage of the huge maple tree that framed the pond for photos and then hurried back inside to start their party!
Angie and Zach’s reception hall was set beautifully with fall flair. Their stunning cupcakes arranged on a cupcake tower near their head table was a beautiful sight! Each one (as well as their bride and groom cake) was carefully baked and decorated by Luita Williams, who’s son, Kevin, has been a good friend of Angie’s since childhood. (He was a groomsmen too, how sweet is that?) After cutting their cake and enjoying some champagne, Angie and Zach enjoyed speeches given by their maid of honor, matron of honor and best man and then they shared their first dance followed by dances with Angie’s dad and Zach’s mom.
Out of all of the weddings I have done this year, I’d say this wedding had the fullest dance floor out of all of them! Zach and Angie’s friends and family were so fun the energy in the room was incredible! It was really apparent that Zach and Angie are surrounded by awesome people who love them dearly and Zach and I are so thankful that we got to be apart of their joy!
Congratulations, Angie and Zach! Now that we live in the same town, double date anytime!
