McKenzie and Nathan are one of those couples that you just totally fall in love with the second you meet them. They are kind, funny and driven. From college graduations to European adventures, these two have had a big year! But they’re not slowing down anytime soon. In fact, their wedding day is exactly one month away as I type this. One month! It seems like just a few days ago we were sitting down to talk about their wedding for the first time, and now here we are - so close to their best day ever.
One of my favorite things about McKenzie and Nathan as a couple is how solid their friendship is within their relationship. Recently McKenzie stopped by the office to work on their wedding day timeline and her eyes lit up whenever she spoke about Nathan. And Nathan is always doing sweet little things for McKenzie, including putting together this very session! You see, we did their engagement session last year (see those photos here) and Nathan knew it was something that McKenzie loved. So he arranged another shoot, just because, for a Christmas gift to McKenzie because he knew she had fun during the first one. Talk about an awesome couple!
Zach and I loved walking around the historic neighborhood streets of downtown Fort Wayne with these two. Nathan shared stories about having friends that lived in the neighborhood and we even ran into one of his best friend’s parents while they were out riding their bicycles! How’s that for perfect timing? We stopped for ice cream at the West Central Microcreamery and Cafe, we met a dog named Ringo and took photos as we explored. Next up, we headed to Lakeside Park which is a beautiful little space just outside the city. With big willow trees, reflection pools and a beautiful flowering garden it was the perfect place to end our photo shoot.
Zach and I can’t wait for McKenzie and Nathan’s wedding! We’ll be counting down the days!
