Amanda + Jason's Holcomb Garden
As Amanda and Jason rounded the corner from the parking garage and headed toward us I felt one solitary raindrop land on my elbow. "Maybe it'll pass" I thought to myself as they drew closer with each step. After all, I'd been keeping a close eye on the forecast all day. The chances were pretty low and up until this very moment the sun had been shining brightly down on the Butler University campus in Indianapolis. There was no way it could rain.
As we made our way through the winding garden the raindrops started to fall with reckless abandon and before we knew it we were in the middle of one of the muggiest little rain showers so far this summer. I'm pretty certain the ground was steaming. But the thing is, Amanda and Jason just shrugged it off. Why? Well I'm sure anyone who has spent time with the two of them can tell you; they're just happy to be together and it shows. They laugh easily and when Jason pulls Amanda close you can see how sweetly they come together. They are relaxed and really seem to have fun with one another and I so love that about them.
Because of the rain, Holcomb Gardens on the Butler University campus was almost completely vacant, allowing us to explore the beautifully landscaped lawns as though they were made just for us. The quiet garden was peaceful and it made for the perfect backdrop for Amanda and Jason to celebrate their second wedding anniversary. The past two years have held a lot of accomplishments for the Love's - a new home and a recent promotion included. At 735 days into their marriage these two have already conquered so much and I know that there is a lot more to come from these two.
I am so thankful to have been able to spend a couple of hours catching up with Amanda and Jason, soaking up the beauty of Holcomb Gardens as well as the rain and capturing some sweet moments that tell the story of Amanda and Jason: Year Two.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Love. Happy second anniversary!
