Minnetrista Engagement Session
Muncie, Indiana | McKenzie and Nathan
Nathan had a plan. McKenzie’s parents had gotten engaged while on a hike, so when he started forming his vision for how he would propose to McKenzie he knew that he wanted to do something similar and sentimental. So he planned a hike through the Smoky Mountains with some of their best friends, and everyone was in on it - except for McKenzie.
The day came and as luck would have it, Nathan’s car broke down on the side of the highway. But that didn’t stop Nathan. One tow truck and one favor called in to a helpful uncle later, they were back on the road. As they began hiking, Nathan realized that they weren’t going to make it to the top of the mountain before sundown, so he had to think on his feet. Nathan and the friends they were hiking with started keeping their eyes peeled for a scenic overlook that would be perfect for a proposal. But they just couldn’t find one. But that didn’t stop Nathan. He didn’t lose hope that he would find the perfect spot so he pressed on. And then there it was. They took some photos and when McKenzie wasn’t looking, Nathan snuck around her and got down on one knee. McKenzie was so excited she hardly let him finish asking the big question before she said yes! He couldn’t have planned it better.
McKenzie and Nathan are such a fun couple! Their engagement session was an absolute blast! We strolled around Minnetrista enjoying the perfect weather. I loved seeing how easily they laugh around one another. They aren’t afraid to be goofy but at the same time can slip effortlessly into a quiet, calm embrace. They’re amazing!
Congratulations to McKenzie and Nathan! I hope that you enjoy this incredible season of life and look forward to your wedding next year!
