What to Expect when working with us:
Once you inquire if we are available on your date and within your budget, we'll schedule a video call to get to know one another. Connecting with each couple before booking is something we truly love and value so we consider this an important part of the booking process. We'll walk through your dream wedding images, create a tentative photography timeline together and most importantly, get to know one another.
After our connection call, if you'd like to move forward with booking, we will create a custom proposal for you that will include a breakdown of our services, contract and payment details. Once the agreement is complete, your date will be held on our calendar.
Prior to your engagement session we will be hands on helping you plan your ideal location and will share our custom AM style guide to help you select the most complimentary outfits.
When the day of your engagement session arrives you can rest assured knowing that we will come prepared with lots of poses and ideas, but best of all? We'll use this time to really get to know one another and get you comfortable in front of our lens.
Sixty days before y our wedding we will schedule a call to go over every detail of your wedding day. We'll finalize your photography timeline, confirm your family formal list and discuss your biggest priorities for your wedding photos. We want to know every aspect of your wedding as thought it were our own, and this call is the perfect time to do exactly that!
On your wedding day we will celebrate with you every step of the way! From our prompt arrival to the way we find the perfect blend of speaking up when needed and hanging back to allow candid moments to unfold, we are in your corner from start to finish. You can expect professional attitudes and attire as well as plenty of encouragement and calming energy all day long. Oh and don't forget sneak peeks no less than 48 hours after we leave your reception!
Sixty days after your wedding your gallery will be delivered right to your email inbox.
Each gallery includes high and low resolution images, personal printing rights and access to our professional grade lab directly inside your gallery. So you can chose to print at your desired lab or print with our lab - the choice is yours!
Following the delivery of your gallery, we'll be in touch to design your album if you've selected one or to provide you with options to purchase one ala cart. We'll use your favorite images to design the perfect layout and help you create a one of a kind, hand crafted album that will be made locally by a small business.
Additionally, you will be granted access to AM Families, our exclusive email list for former AM wedding couples that is geared towards celebrating and staying connected with our couples through maternity, newborn and family sessions as the years go on!

All of our wedding collections include two photographers. We are a husband and wife team and through the years we have found the perfect balance to ensuring that every detail and moment is captured to the best of our abilities.
How many photographers will be included in our wedding coverage?
Of course! Our goal is to make your photography experience effortless. Our posing recipe includes calming, lighthearted guidance, plenty of encouragement, a dash of personal prompts (that lead to stellar candids) and a splash of good humor because we love to have fun with our couples and feel strongly that the best smiles come from laughter!
Will you pose us?
Yes! Our heirloom albums can be purchased at any part of the process, either Ala cart at booking, mid way or after your wedding day. Our heirloom albums are made using only the finest materials that will withstand the test of time and are hand crafted to include lay flat, flush-mount thick board like pages that will allow you to relive your wedding day over and over again!

Absolutely! We arrive at every wedding fully prepared with back up cameras, lenses and lights. Each of our cameras contain duel memory cards just in case and we of course have plenty of extra batteries. Planning ahead is something we value!
Will you bring back-up gear to my wedding?

Your wedding timeline will likely change many times before your wedding day gets here and we understand that! So if you’d like to add additional hours on down the road that is absolutely ok! When we discuss your photography timeline we will take a transparent look at your coverage time and you can decide from there if you’d like more hours added on.
What if we need more coverage hours that we initially thought?

Weddings are full of emotion, details and logistics and when there is not a committed planner or coordinator, the direction of the day commonly falls to the photographer. It’s very important to have someone dedicated to the specific details of your day, allowing me to focus on creating stunning portraits and catching time stopping candid images for you to look back on for years to come. While planners/ coordinators are not required, they are highly encouraged.
Do you require that we work with a wedding planner?

Each wedding is unique so this is a difficult thing to measure exactly. However we average between 50-100 images per hour.
How many photos will we receive?

Yes! Alison began her photography career by learning black and white 35mm film so black and white images are very special around here. However you will always receive a color version of any black and white image in your gallery.
Will we receive any black and white edits?

Alison has been photographing weddings full time since 2016 and Zach joined her as a second shooter in 2022.
How long have you been photographing weddings?

Our service area includes Chicago, Indianapolis and Cincinnati, however we travel frequently for weddings. Contact us for a custom quote if you are celebrating outside of these areas.
